Christmas is coming! The goose is getting FAT!

For all of you out there who get grumpy when people decorate for Christmas in November, or play Christmas music too early - STOP READING NOW. We don't want any Scrooge comments here.  :P
I LOVE CHRISTMAS! I love the lights, the feel, the decorations, the snow, the idea that so many other people are celebrating the same thing.  And for the people who remember what this holiday is actually for, I love that so many Christians all over the world are united in remembering the birth of Christ.  But even for people who aren't Christian, it's still a time when people try to give more and think of others more.  I just love it!
And I'm already starting to put up a few decorations at a time!

PUMPKINS!

Okay, we had ONE pumpkin that Ryan's parents gave us.  I went looking online to see if I could find a cute/original face for it.  But I found a few different cute ones I couldn't decide between...so I ended up buying two more!  But they were really fun to carve because I was excited about them.  So, like it or not, here they are!

This one isn't carved but rather he has little plastic pegs that you hammer into him, and he blinks like a LiteBrite! (Remember those from the 80's?)

This was my cute happy pumpkin!

And this one was my favorite!  He's got a red bell pepper in his mouth!  The one I saw online had a little pumpkin, but I couldn't find a pumpkin small enough to fit that was carvable.  So the pepper has a candle in him, and the big scary guy has a color changing light which looked really cool!  I must say I was most proud of him!

Happy Halloween!

Ok, so Halloween is not until tomorrow. But since it falls on a Saturday, Ryan dressed up for work today. Ever since he wore this for his dad's luau this past summer, he's been excitedly planning on wearing it for Halloween! And yes, that IS a coconut bra! Made with real coconuts I might add.

Jenn, I hope you enjoy these!! :D

Life is Always Good!

Life can be frustrating sometimes.  Especially when you want to do something and you can't really go forward with everything else until the first thing falls into place.  That's how things have been for us for a while with me looking for a job.  That can really drive a person
NUTS!

But, in the mean time, I still try very hard to look for the happy and fun things in life.  For instance, My mom, sister and I were shopping at Roberts craft store a year or so ago, and we saw this cute little nativity that someone made out of little flower pots.  So we bought the supplies and planned on being crafty together.  Then we didn't have time to do it together.  So Lydia and I tried to get together before last Christmas and we didn't finish it either.  So it's sat in our apartment since then collecting dust and making me feel guilty.  So, I decided I couldn't take it anymore and decided to finish it.  And here is the result!

It feels good to have it done, and it doesn't look too bad.

This is something I saw at the store the other day.  I saw this toilet paper and went up to it to take a picture to show Ryan.  I mean, would you really want to use "living tissue" for aa job like that"  But then I saw that it had little, purple giraffes on it, so... I actually bought it.  :)
